(US, exclusive Yogonet.com).- Sam Glaser, Robocoin Chief of Growth, explains the main characteristics of Bitcoin ATMs. He talks about the role of the company and the locations in which it has the strongest presence. “We’re just getting started! Huge opportunities remain all over the world and particularly in South and Central America,” he said.

Robocoin, which debuted the first Bitcoin ATM in October, allows the buying and selling of Bitcoin from freestanding kiosks that integrate user-friendly software, bank grade hardware and security, and 100 percent Federal compliance capabilities.

What does your partnership with Coin Cloud involve?  What is the role of Robocoin?
Robocoin sells our kiosks to operators such as Coin Cloud. Robocoin also supports our operators with ongoing software support and updates, Anti-Money Laundering compliance support, and PR and Marketing resources.

What’s the convenience of a Bitcoin ATM?
Before Robocoin, the only way to buy and sell bitcoins was via online exchanges, which required connecting a bank account, providing a proof of address, and waiting days for transactions to clear. Robocoin removes the invasive requirements and turns a multi-day process into a nearly instantaneous one. Or you could do a person-to-person cash for bitcoin transaction and risk getting ripped off. Robocoin is much safer.

The D ATM is also run by Robocoin, are you planning to install it anywhere else?
Absolutely - we’re going quite quickly. On the casino side we’re speaking with the biggest companies in Las Vegas.

The network currently exchanges 12 different national currencies from around the world. Is this number expected to increase?
Absolutely yes. We’re just getting started! Huge opportunities remain all over the world and particularly in South and Central America.

In what other locations is Robocoin present? Are you looking to expand?
Robocoin maintains the largest two-way Bitcoin ATM network in the world with locations in Hong Kong, Beijing, Singapore, Japan, the United Kingdom, Poland, Spain, Czech Republic, Romania, The Netherlands, Italy, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Canada (Vancouver, Victoria, Toronto, Edmonton) and The United States (Los Angeles, Mountain View, Las Vegas, Austin, Dallas, Seattle). We’re looking for new locations! Email [email protected] if you want to purchase a Robocoin - or if you have a good location and would like to be a Robocoin landlord.

How do you think this industry will evolve?
Our next move is launching the Robocoin 2.0 Banking and Remittance Platform. The “Robocoin Bank” as it’s called, will make it much easier to securely store and send money worldwide (and of course still buy and sell bitcoin - now it’s “deposit” and “withdraw” respectively). We’re going to be providing banking services for the world’s underbanked, while also making it much easier, cheaper and faster for families to send money overseas.
