(Australia).- Starting at 6am this morning over 500 skilled exhibition stand builders, carpet layers, riggers, carpenters and electricians (among others) began converging on the Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island to build the Australasian Gaming Expo trade show for next week’s operational days on Tuesday 12, Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 August.

Until late on Monday, more than 50 specialised vehicles including ‘cherry picker’ boom lifts and fork lift trucks will be running almost non-stop to build 180 exhibition stands. Over 1,000 truckloads of the world’s best and latest gaming and hospitality equipment will be moved in to the Expo, including over 750 new gaming machines.

At 15,500 square metres (roughly the size of an Aussie Rules football oval), the Australasian Gaming Expo is easily the biggest event of its type in Australia and one of the world’s biggest.

A trip for 2 to Las Vegas will be won by a lucky visitor on each of the 3 days of the Expo, compliments of the Gaming Technologies Association which owns the event.

Over 7,400 people are registered to attend, so now is the time to call the Gaming Expo Help Line on 02 9211 7430 or visit www.austgamingexpo.com to register.
