MGM Resorts forced to delay opening of Cotai casino

(Macau).- James Murren,MGM Resorts International’s chairman and CEO, said that the company’s new casino-resort in Cotai may not open as soon as it would like.The Cotai casino-resort is due to open in 2016.

(Macau).- James Murren,MGM Resorts International’s chairman and CEO, said that the company’s new casino-resort in Cotai may not open as soon as it would like.The Cotai casino-resort is due to open in 2016.

Murren said during a conference call about MGM Resorts International’s second-quarter results that the company had problems obtaining building permits.

“We know we’re opening in 2016,” Mr Murren said. “But rather than pin down a number or a date, we just have to be a little more general at this point in time.”
