Indiana Riverboat Casino debuts renovated 24/7 poker room

(US).- On July 24, Ameristar Casino Hotel East Chicago unveiled a 12-table poker room on the fourth level of the casino. The room will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The poker room includes a USB port at every seat, a self-service beverage station, as well as food service. The new room cost the casino more than USD 400,000.
“We are excited to reintroduce live poker at Ameristar with the opening of our brand new poker room,” Matt Schuffert, Vice President and General Manager, said in a statement. “We look forward to offering great poker action daily in our new state-of-the art room and welcoming guests to the outstanding gaming experience at Ameristar East Chicago.”
A ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of the poker room was held Friday. Ameristar Casino Hotel East Chicago is a riverboat casino in East Chicago, Indiana, docked at Indiana Harbor on Lake Michigan. The casino first opened in 1997.
There are 15 poker rooms that are accessible to residents of Indiana, according to PokerAtlas. The majority are in the Chicago and Hammond area.
