(US).- The Kentucky Lottery Corporation (KLC) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to progress with plans to launch an online lottery system in the US state, explaining interactive gaming as a potential market that can help boost Kentucky’s revenue and lottery sales.

The RFP comes shortly after the KLC earlier this month presented a timeline to lawmakers to outline its plan to launch an internet platform.

The timeline included asking providers for bids in the summer months, which has resulted in the RFP launch.

The next step on the timeline will be for the KLC to select a provider by autumn of this year.

The KLC expects the sale for multi-state drawing games such as Powerball to launch online by the middle of 2015, with other lottery products to become available further down the line.
