According to the Pokerfuse.com, the app allows players to swipe and tap gestures to indicate their action, rather than using the normal bet, raise and fold buttons. A swipe of the cards indicates a fold, a double-tap on the screen is a check, while swiping to the right will raise a bet.
Players can also pre-set bet amounts by clicking on the pot and selecting bet types or use a slider on the bottom of the screen to opt for more precise bets.
A browser-based version is also due to be released in all markets that access the dot-com network.
In a statement, PartyPoker said: “We’re redefining what it means to play one-handed. Our new fastforward: special edition poker app features a patent pending swipe-based interface that adds another gear to playing fast-forward poker.
“We engineered it specifically for mobile handset users, after thinking about how we use these devices – or should use these devices – to play card games. The game is the same, but how you play is nothing at all like on other mobile poker games.”
