(Czech Republic).- Fortuna Game, a provider of fixed-odds betting in the Czech Republic, has completed the acquisition of the Intralot Czech subsidiary of gaming and lottery operator Intralot.

Fortuna Game is a subsidiary of Fortuna, a Central and Eastern European online betting operator.

Intralot Czech, which owns 2,500 lottery terminals for numerical games and instant games offered by Fortuna, has total assets of around 3.6 million euros. In the upcoming days, Intralot Czech’s name will change in line with the purchase agreement.

Fortuna will continue in co-operation with Intralot Czech’s parent company Intralot, primarily in the area of software and application development for the lottery terminals.

Radim Haluza, CEO of Fortuna Entertainment, said: “Acquisition of the Intralot Czech branch has been an integral part of restructuring of our lottery project.

“In a short period of time, it will enable us a faster growth of profits and, overall, a more flexible development of our lottery products.”

The news comes shortly after a proposed joint lottery scratch card venture in the country with Tipsport fell through.
