Park family announced a partnership with Warner Hospitality and said the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe will undergo a USD 60 million renovation and redesign that will feature music and will also serve as an indoor and outdoor live music venue. It will have two renovated hotel towers with more 500 rooms, several new restaurants and bars and a 25,000 square-foot casino.
“The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino brand has music infused in its DNA and is known for celebrating individuality and uniqueness, which makes it a perfect fit for South Lake Tahoe,” Jon Park of the Park family said in a statement.
The resort on the lake’s south shore originally opened as Del Webb’s Sahara Tahoe in 1965. David Park says they are thrilled to bring a world-class brand to South Lake Tahoe’s entertainment district. The property will be operated by Don Marrandino, a casino executive who has worked for Harrah’s and Caesars Entertainment in Nevada and Atlantic City.
This is the first Hard Rock Hotel project in northern Nevada.
