WSOP.com has been hard at work pushing its cross-promotional campaign, and the numbers speak for themselves. May 2014 was the second highest figure noted for online poker revenues in the Silver State.
But while WSOP.com is gleaning fruit from its aggressive marketing campaigns by seeing a growth in the number of new customers, the other two Nevada online poker sites have not seen new customers added to their players’ list. WSOP.com is still very much in the lead in terms of market dominance, boasting around 140 cash games on average over a seven day time frame. This is more than double the number recorded at Ultimate Bet (60 cash games) and obviously better than Real Gaming, where no cash games took place, according to Poker Scout.
Overall, Nevada’s gambling sector did well, with its brick-and-mortar casinos generating US$ 970 million in the month of May. Of that number, over half came from slot machines which are always considered a good revenue booster, even in tougher times.
Analysts examined the numbers published by the Nevada Gaming Control Board and said that they continued to maintain a positive outlook for the Las Vegas trip. They also said that they believed in the continuation of the overall recovery of the Nevada gambling industry into 2014 and beyond.
