(Canada).- Konami recently participated in the Canadian Gaming Summit (CGS) with its SeleXion multi-game, which gained much approval for its zero-delay change time and 80+ available a la carte titles. Moreover, Podium Monument’s 32” upper monitor was showcased while demonstrating games such as Rapid Revolver, Rising Dragon, and Northern Treasure themes, as well as the all-new Dungeons & Dragons.

In addition, the company’s SYNKROS casino management system provided hands-on demonstration of its innovative system-delivered tournaments and True-Time Windowing technology.

As Canada’s premier gaming conference and exposition, CGS marked its 18th year with strong turnout by more than 1,400 industry professionals and representatives from throughout the nation and abroad. For this year’s show in Vancouver, Konami Gaming furthered its momentum from 2013 by bringing a number of pivotal new releases to the floor of CGS for guests to evaluate and explore first-hand.

Here is a complete breakdown of the products featured by Konami at CGS that performance-driven operators are looking to add in 2014:

Podium Monument
As the latest member of the Podium cabinet family, Podium Monument includes a standard Podium base but is enhanced with an oversized top box, complete with a vertically-mounted 32” monitor and internally-lit bezel for greater attraction and entertainment. The Podium Monument is currently available for all KP3 titles, as well as Quick Strike Quad—an all-new four-level progressive—and exclusive Podium Monument themes such as Snow Stars and Rock Around The Clock Doo Wop Dudes and Chiffon Ladies.

Rapid Revolver
Rapid Revolver was one of the featured Podium Monument games at CGS, and presents two distinct gaming concepts fused into one cabinet. Designed to stand out on a casino floor and grab the attention of casino guests, the traditional video reel primary game is combined with six spinning reels, stacked and vertically-mounted in an oversized top box and surrounded by synchronized high-impact sound and lighting. The Rising Dragon and Northern Treasure themes on display at CGS proved quick to draw attention

Dungeons & Dragons
Konami’s new Dungeons & Dragons themed slot machines swooped into CGS for a decisive victory -turning heads and commanding serious attention from the hand-painted 3D dragon toppers to its mystical 12-dice standalone progressive bonus, again artfully displayed on Podium Monument’s tall top box monitor. Dungeons & Dragons is available in two rich fantasy themes: Conquests & Treasures and Enchanted Riches. Games can be placed in pods of 2, 3 or 4, as well as wall configurations, with premium chairs, a themed bezel complete with glowing runes, faux stone design elements and a variety of sign packages including one with a large rotating red dragon.

Custom designed for an engaging D&D play experience, this KP3 video slot brings to life two main characters, providing an intriguing escape to capture patrons’ imagination. Guests at the Konami booth were confronted by life-sized statues of these characters at CGS, but their encounters were largely peaceable and often ended in a photo-opp

SeleXion
Featuring up to 10 game themes with three denominations each, Konami’s unique SeleXion multi-game cabinet switches instantaneously between games, denominations and languages, including its dynamic button panel. The audience at CGS was especially impressed by the scrolling multi-game attract mode, which is designed to alert customers to the special functions and variety of game themes available. Operators can now choose from more than 80 available KP3 themes a la carte

Genie’s Power
Displayed at CGS on a bank of 6 Podium Uprights, Genie’s Power is Konami’s new 7-level linked progressive product with 4 different bonus feature games that can be triggered randomly. Compatible with most KP3 titles, Genie’s Power improves on the standard mystery link progressive with engaging interactive bonus features

Podium Goliath
With its colossal sound, 360-degree attract lighting, and huge 32” dual high-definition LCD display, Konami’s Goliath Podium was big fun this year at CGS—especially with these recent KP3 Xtra Reward titles on the floor

A clone of the runaway hit game, Dragon’s Law, Dragon’s Way is also characterized by a dragon that randomly provides additional wilds to the video slot reels. The dragon can deliver the wilds before or after any spin. Players can win up to 20 free spins when the free game feature is triggered, during which the dragon appears more frequently to award extra wilds

A clone of Konami’s popular Solstice Celebration, Celestial Celebration is a video slot that engages guests with up to 40 free games that include nudging wild sun symbols.  In addition to the free games, Celestial Celebration also includes the “Sparkle Feature” where two or more reels showing full action stacked symbols are replaced by new symbols giving the player an extra chance to win even more.

The release of Exotic Princess introduces the ReEleven game mechanic to Konami Gaming’s KP3 platform. This Xtra Reward game series features 11 reels where the first two reels are standard video reels and the remaining nine positions spin as independent reels.   During the free game, the first two reels are held while the remaining nine reels spin. Any gold coins appearing on the reels when the free games are triggered will “upgrade” the Action Stacked Symbol for the free game feature

SYNKROS
Konami’s SYNKROS casino management system was on display and supplied excellent demoing at CGS. Continuing to garner attention for its award-winning True-Time Tournaments module, its innovative system-delivered tournament product provides operators with the ability to offer player-on-demand and synchronized start (SynkStart) tournaments through Konami’s proprietary True-Time Windowing technology. Operators at CGS noted a distinct advantage in a system-delivered bonusing tournament that awards entries to players who demonstrate any number of desired behaviors—including property visits, points earned, recent birthdays and new membership
