(Japan).-Prime Minister Shinzo Abe says his party will push forparliament to pass a bill to make casinos legal in the next legislative session, in autumn.

“Integrated resorts are expected to provide a great contribution to tourism, regional economies and industry, I think, and can be one of the key elements of Japan’s growth strategy.”Abe said.

Passing the casino bill in the next session of parliament may allow the country’s first casino-resorts to be operating by the time the Olympic Games take place in Tokyo in 2020.
