“We know that Internet betting is more frequent at the global level, and, as with every international trend, it is impossible to think that we can exclude the entire South American continent. With this in mind, and being aware that the entire region has a serious delay regarding the regulation and legislation in this sense, we're thinking about generating a publication that will include the vision of international specialists in gambling laws and their analysis on how to potentially expand towards online betting,” noted Pablo Zuppi, Director of Yogonet.
This new Yogonet product will also contain information on some success stories in the US and Europe, regional backgrounds, legislation, problems in each country, and statistical data on the number of regional connections and the mobile market.
The printed publication will be edited in English and Spanish, and will be distributed for free in the primary regional events and exhibitions together with a mailing addressed to regulators, legislators and representatives of the gaming sector in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Peru, Paraguay and Colombia; these are the main markets for this betting segment, due to the large volume of online connections.
In addition, “i-Gaming in South America” will be distributed online to the entire sector, with a broad coverage expected for all people interested in participating in this phenomenon, or to those that simply wish to understand its arrival to the main South American markets a bit better.
Among the specialists invited are lawyers and technicians in gaming, such as Carlos Fonseca Sarmiento and Constante Traverso (Peru), Gonzalo Masot and Estela Varsavsky (Argentina), Alfredo Lazcano (Mexico), Maximiliano De Muro (Uruguay), Víctor Arias (Costa Rica), Cristina Romero and Blanca Escribano (Spain), along with more than fifteen specialists in laws and regulation, to explain how the phenomenon would influence the region and what might be the best ways to open the market to offer a secure and transparent internet betting market.
