(China).-During the recent China’s Century Conference in Melbourne, mogul James Packer said he was keen on opening business deals in China and that he wants to work with his billionaire buddies to get there.

Packer pointed out his Asian gaming partner Lawrence Ho and Australian billionaire Kerry Stokes as people with whom he’d like to conquer China.

Packer’s RatPac Entertainment venture with Hollywood director Brett Ratner is one specific business he wants to introduce into China, with Ho’s help.

Part of his strategy in ingratiating RatPac Entertainment is to invest heavily in Chinese content that specifically caters to Chinese consumers, a strategy that could explode if Chinese consumers embrace their own culture and enjoy the continuing growth of a home-grown movie industry instead.

Outside of his plans for RatPac Entertainment’s conquering of the Chinese market, the Crown chairman is also open to doing deals with Stokes in China, as he fully understands the profound relationships Australian businessmen already have in China.
