The Gross win before expenses and taxes on the Las Vegas Strip rose to $462.9 million, an increase of 3.1 percent from a year ago.
The gaming win at downtown Las Vegas casinos fell 2.4 percent; North Las Vegas was off 1.9 percent; Laughlin dropped 4.3 percent; the Boulder Strip was off 2.5 percent; Mesquite was down 4.1 percent; and Clark County’s balance decreased by 2.3 percent.
Washoe County casinos recorded their third straight month of declining win, falling 2.2 percent. South Lake Tahoe dropped 42.2 percent, but Lawton said that was due mainly to the timing in counting slot machine revenue.
Carson City ended a three-months decline with a 1.5 percent increase in gaming win. Elko County was off 4.1 per cent.
The board reported that for this fiscal casinos have paid $626.1 million in gross revenue taxes, an increase of 0.78 percent.
