(Hungary).- Four new casinos are expected to open in Hungary by the end of this year as stated in freshly-signed concession contracts, the National Economy Ministry (NGM) informed MTI.

As of now, three casinos are available for gamblers in Hungary; two are located in Budapest and the third in Sopron, near the border with Austria and thus attracting Austrian gamblers.

NGM says it has signed concession contracts for the establishment of two new casinos in the capital by the end of the fall and one more each in Debrecen and Nyíregyháza by this summer. A fifth casino is planned to start operating in 2015 in Budapest.

The law regulating casinos permit the operation of maximum of 11 casinos in Hungary: five in Budapest, three in the western part of Hungary and another three in the east. The casino owners in Sopron have two of the concessions for the west of the country at present. The third in the west is held by Eurovegas Hungary, which has not yet started operating.
