What did you think of FADJA 2014, as far as organization, level, number of visitors and business opportunities?
The last time DLV participated in FADJA was 3 years ago, and surely we can say that the event has continued to grow and that the life of the Colombian gaming sector is operating in full force. Turn out to the event was quite high and, after speaking with companies that already have a strong presence in the market, including our partner Mundo Video, we think the market is on the right track, as there are constantly more and more possibilities for operators, manufacturers, and most importantly, the Colombian player.
What was the feedback from visitors DLV products?
In this event we are visitors, which is an unusual role for DLV. In fact, the reason why DLV does not usually participate in FADJA is because of the fact that we already have a very strong partner in this market, Mundo Video General Manager, German Cardona, who is the exclusive distributor of DLV products in the country. We are very happy with our collaboration with him. This year visitors to his booth and his booth always does a fantastic job of promoting our products visitors could see several of our games on display, including Indiana Cash and Chinese Secret.
What is the potential of the Colombian market?
In a country with almost 50 million inhabitants, it’s safe to say the potential is huge. Besides, based on what we saw at the show, there is a considerable interest in many different kinds of games here. For that reason we will continue to fine tune our products and search for new ways to reach out to the Colombian player.
What plans do you have for this and other Andean Region markets?
We, like the rest of the industry, want to expand. Therefore, we hope to strengthen our position in the markets in which we are active. We would like to do this, by placing machines in around the country, as well as gradually boosting other markets, starting with investigation and setting up machines for trial use. Up till now, we have been analyzing several possibilities, but our main project is probably to enter the Panamanian market, for which DLV has been homologated this year. And, of course, DLV has to be present in the most important regional events, in which it will act as an exhibitor - Peru Gaming Show and SAGSE Buenos Aires 2014!
