Dr. Kalman Szentpetery, CEO of Szerencsejátékrt, announced the Lottery’s award for Griffin at an annual dinner, recognizing his work on behalf of Scientific Games in growing instant games to the number one product in the Szerencsejáték Zrt game portfolio over the last 10 years.
“The tremendous growth in our instant game products can be attributed to the best practices for instant game category management that Kevin Griffin and his team at Scientific Games have shared with us over the last decade,” said GergelyKoppany, Deputy Director, SzerencsejátékZrt. “This strategic guidance has included the introduction of higher price points and increased payouts, as well as the launch of the highly successful first 1,000 HUF [approx. €4] Buksza game.”
Koppany said the 1,000 HUF Bukszagame, which was added to their product portfolio in 2011, initially doubled Szerencsejáték Zrt’s instant game revenues and currently represents 40% of the Lottery’s total instant game revenues. Since 2004, Szerencsejáték Zrt’s overall instant game revenue has grown from €25 million to €150 million in 2013. In 2013, the instant game category grew 29% in 2013 and now represents 17% of the Lottery’s total revenue.
