(US, exclusive Yogonet.com).- CG Technology, a preeminent technology company and Logrand Group, an entertainment and gaming operator in Mexico, have recently  signed an agreement for CG Technology to license its state-of-the-art sports book system, which includes mobile sports wagering, back end account management, and wallet functions at eight Logrand Group casinos in Mexico. Jeffrey Burge, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer, talked to Yogoent.com about this as well as theLatAm market, “Latin America represents a highly attractive marketplace with plenty of opportunities for us to engage in partnerships and licensing agreements,” he said.

How important is LatAm for CG Technology's business strategy? How will the recent agreement with Logrand Group help you to achieve your goals in this region?
Latin America represents a highly attractive marketplace with plenty of opportunities for us to engage in partnerships and licensing agreements. As a leader in mobile casino gaming and race and sports book technology, we believe CG Technology’s sophisticated technology platform offers a huge value proposition to casinos, resorts and lottery providers in Latin America, opportunities we hope to realize in due course. We are delighted to launch our Latin American presence with this agreement with Logrand Group, a highly reputed entertainment and gaming operator. Logrand owns Jubilee, Mexico’s largest casino, located in Nuevo Leon, which is very exciting. In addition to Jubilee, we’ll be licensing our technology to seven other casinos as part of this agreement.

What is the potential of the Mexican sports wagering market for you? And what about mobile gaming?
It’s difficult to predict the exact potential of any market. That said, given the recent changes in the regulatory landscape in Mexico and the enforcement of account-based wagering, an area we have deep expertise in, we believe it offers huge opportunities for our business.
Quite rightly you mentioned mobile wagering. CG Technology has an excess of 20% of the Nevada sports wagering market and over half of these wagers are conducted on mobile devices in Nevada. Our mobile gaming system is agile, sophisticated and easy-to-use. We can’t wait to launch it in Logrand’s casinos across Mexico.

What are the similarities between Mexico and Nevada in terms of what the operators are demanding and what is attracting players the most?
We have plenty of experience working in Nevada. We operate eight race and sports books in Las Vegas which include: Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s the Venetian and Palazzo, M Resort Spa Casino, Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Tropicana Las Vegas, Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, the Palms Casino Resort and Silverton Casino Hotel. That said, whether you’re a casino owner in Mexico or Nevada, you’ll want to offer customers the best wagering experience possible, which means partnering with a world-class technology provider that can offer a seamless and state-of-the-art sports book system which includes popular features like mobile sports wagering. Likewise, we have worked in other international markets. For example, we are working with Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas, Celebrity Cruises and Cantor Club in Tianjin, China. All of our partners want to offer excellent customer satisfaction, powered by technology solutions, and they choose us because of our state-of-the-art software solutions which help them achieve this goal.

Are you negotiating a similar agreement for LatAm? What can you anticipate about it?
We are focused on continued growth and expansion in international markets. The Latin American marketplace is an attractive one and we are certainly open to boosting our presence in this strategically important region.

You have a new identity, how has the industry reacted so far?
That’s right. Like many companies, we have evolved over time. Historically we were known for the innovative, state-of-the-art, high-end design environment and functionality that we created in the sports wagering marketplace. We have built out numerous race and sports books in Las Vegas and we offer casino games.
Our new identity as CG Technology reflects our position as a leader in mobile casino gaming and race and sports book technology. The response to our name change has been overwhelmingly positive, and is an important step as we continue to evolve as a leading technology company

Are you planning new changes for this year (appointments, new offices, etc.)?
We aren’t planning any radical changes at this time! However, we are always focused on providing the highest levels of service and satisfaction to our business partners and customers, in addition to updating our world-class technology and seeking new business deals.

What are your main goals for the short term?
CG Technology is pleased to continue to be a leader in the Nevada market. We have over 20% of the Nevada sports wagering market and we look forward to growing this position. International expansion, driven by technology licensing agreements with industry leading companies like Logrand, will be a key growth driver for the company going forward.
In addition, we’re constantly focused on innovation. For example, our innovative mobile gaming technology can be found on high-end Celebrity Cruises ships. Our agreement with Celebrity marked the first time the cruise industry has offered customers a mobile casino gaming application. In addition to cruise lines, we are working with casinos, integrated resorts, and lottery companies.
Our other goal is to continue to expand our presence in new markets internationally. Logrand is an exciting first step towards penetrating the Latin American marketplace. We hope to speak to you again soon with other updates on this front!
