(Belgium).- The Belgian government has issued three emergency Royal decrees fully detailing its online gaming laws after failing to respond to the European Commission's comments on the legislation by the original deadline.

(Belgium).- The Belgian government has issued three emergency Royal decrees fully detailing its online gaming laws after failing to respond to the European Commission's comments on the legislation by the original deadline.
The government explained that the decrees would serve as a response to the EC’s questions and prevent the commission from initiating default proceedings against Belgium in the European Court of Justice.
The three royal decrees submitted to the EC detail procedures for the surveillance, certification and control of licensed online gaming sites; the way in which games of chance can be offered (including player registration, age controls, payment methods, and prize distribution); and the games licensed under Belgium’s online gaming laws.
