(Denmark).- In a statement this week the Danish Gambling Authority announced that it is monitoring the country’s internet gambling market to identify gambling providers who offer gambling services on the Danish gambling market without a licence.

Five online casino sites accused of illegally accessing Danish punters and ignoring requests to stop doing so have been blocked by local internet services providers on the direction of the Danish Gambling Authority.

“These efforts have uncovered several new websites which have been contacted in an attempt to stop their illegal activities,” officials said.

“A large number of these websites have corrected their gambling offers so that they no longer contravene the Danish gambling legislation,” the statement notes. “However, some websites continue to offer gambling activities without a licence.

“On Friday 28 March 2014 the city court of Frederiksberg decided to impose an injunction on the internet service provider “3″, requesting them to enable a block on 5 illegal websites.”3″ has 14 days to comply with the injunction and enable the blocking measure.”

The Authority names the blocked sites as:

•7red.com

•7red.dk

•quasargaming.com

•wintrillions.com

•trillonario.com

The Danish Gambling Authority expects other internet service providers to follow the court’s decision and enable further blocking measures.
