(Singapore).- Las Vegas Sands has asked the Singapore government for more land so it can increase the number of rooms at its casino-resort there, Marina Bay Sands, by about 60 percent.

The news agency quotes Las Vegas Sands chairman Sheldon Adelson as saying the resort’s rooms are full most of the time.

Las Vegas Sands intends to add 1,500 rooms to the 2,563-room Marina Bay Sands, along with meeting rooms, ballrooms and exhibition space, once the government gives it more land.
