Monopoly rules are simple and directly inspired from the original board game: players need to scratch off 15 dice rolls in the centre of the Monopoly board in order to reveal their properties. Players will then need to find and scratch their properties on the game board. If they find all the properties of the same color area, players win the prize shown for that color.
The Monopoly scratch card game was first launched in 1996 and was a big success among French players. This instant game is also very popular internationally, in particular with Canadian and American lotteries.
The goal of this re-launch is to meet expectations of regular players but also attract occasional players, familiar with the Monopoly board game. Overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.84. The prize payout is 70%.
In order to promote this new instant game, POS advertising will be available in retail outlets from March 10th to April 2nd as well as on the website FDJ.fr.
Dieux Grecs
On February 17th, La Française des Jeux (FDJ) launched a new instant and temporary game ‘Dieux Grecs’ inspired by Greek mythology.
The ticket features 4 emblematic characters:
• Aphrodite: “Resist the love potion”
• Poseidon: “Weather the storm”
• Artemis: “Survive its arrows”
• Zeus: “Face his wrath”
Players will have to take up different challenges, based on 4 simple game mechanics, either comparing or adding symbols.
The game Dieux Grecs is the result of a collaborative approach with both retailers and players. The launch of this new game is part of the ‘Scratch catalog 2013’, where 12 new game concepts were created in collaboration with retailers, and then tested by players.
The ticket costs €3 and players can win up to €10,000 on each game and cumulate winnings up to €40,000.
Chances of winning are 1 in 4.58. The prize payout is 66%.
