(UK, exclusive Yogonet.com).- At the latest ICE edition, Yogonet.com interviewed Jon Jayal, Quixant UK Director , who talked about Quixant’s products at the show and the launch of QX-50 Ultra HD, “a significant step forward in performance and graphics capabilities”, according to the executive. He also commented on the company’s future plans and its contract with Ainsworth.

Did ICE meet your expectations?
We were delighted at the business generated at ICE Totally Gaming 2014. Our meeting calendar was full throughout the show and we had a good volume of traffic on the stand with visitors interested in seeing the demonstrations of our products.

What products did you exhibit?
The major news for ICE 2014 was a preview of our QX-50, which boasts the capability to drive 4K Ultra HD monitors.  We also showed the QX-40 driving ten independent HD monitors. This product has achieved significant success since its launch in 2012, its high levels of performance, outstanding graphics capabilities, unrivalled PCI Express based gaming features and customisability through its backplane design have made it very popular with gaming machine manufacturers all over the world with more than ten different OEM’s adopting it.

What can you tell me about the QX-50 Ultra HD? How did the public respond? What are its main features?
At ICE 2014, for customers under NDA we held a behind closed doors preview of our QX-50 running 4K Ultra HD content. The QX-50 is a significant step forward in performance and graphics capabilities and, when it is launched, will bring to the market several other technology benefits which will give game developers the ability to develop ever more spectacular games. We hope this gave our customers a few ideas and thoughts about how they might utilise this technology in gaming.

What do you feel next year holds for the industry?
We are excited about the benefits higher resolution displays can bring. 4K is infiltrating gaming and the consumer market alike and offers the potential of much higher levels of detail and quality in video displays. For video gaming machines, where the player is relatively close to the display, this can provide a much richer, more detailed graphical experience.

What was the London’s show highlight?
The opportunity to show our latest products to the industry and meet with our current and future customers.

How is the company positioned in Europe?
Quixant has a strong position in Europe; certainly most markets have adopted our products with real passion. The strength of our current product line up is a credit to the highly professional and dedicated design team we have at Quixant. Our products are recognised as best in class and continue to win awards and praise from the industry.

What are your future plans for this region? What plans do you have for this year?
We plan to continue our roadmap of development to ensure our products remain class leading. Our sole focus on gaming means we are very aware of market trends, we continue to try to innovate and deliver value and benefit to our customers.

What are your clients’ main concerns nowadays?
Our customers’ main concerns have not evolved dramatically. They require a trusted technology partner who can deliver reliable products at the right price giving them the ability to develop great game content. Our goal is to reduce the headache customers face in utilising high performance PC technology which meets the substantial regulatory requirements of global gaming markets

You have recently signed a contract with Ainsworth, what can you tell us about that?
We are extremely pleased to have signed a multi-year contract out to 2019 with Ainsworth Game Technology, extending a strong relationship which the two companies have enjoyed since 2007. We are proud to have Ainsworth as a customer and are excited about the prospects for the future.
