(Netherlands).- The Council of Ministers in the Netherlands, the executive council of the Dutch government, has approved a new remote gaming bill, according to the GamingInHolland news website. The reforms are likely to lead to a new licensing regime in 2015.

The bill will now be submitted to the Council of State for approval before being passed on to the Dutch House of Representatives for final clearance, probably in the second quarter of 2014.

In a press release, the cabinet said that it recognises the contribution made by lotteries to good causes and sport, and added that proposed reforms to the lottery system would also be submitted to parliament by the middle of this year.
