Laos to kick off football gambling
Football matches of all the famous leagues worldwide, even the upcoming World Cup, will be included in the new online gambling system. The gambling site will open everyday as long as there are football matches to bet on.
An employee of the enterprise in charge of providing information said various forms of betting will be available including predicting the result of a single match or many matches within a group.
The enterprise is preparing 20 branches in Vientiane to offer the new service, but none in the provinces, the daily said. Gamblers are required to set up an online account with the enterprise in order to bet.
Once available, the soccer lottery will be the first legal gambling for soccer matches in Laos after years of underground gambling. It is still unclear about the ceiling of each wager as senior officials of the enterprise could not be reached for immediate comment.
