Betfair appoints new director
(UK).- Betfair Group announced the appointment of Leo Quinn as a Non-Executive Director with effect from March 5 this year.

(UK).- Betfair Group announced the appointment of Leo Quinn as a Non-Executive Director with effect from March 5 this year.
Quinn has been CEO of FTSE 250 QinetiQ Group plc since 2009. Previously he was chief executive officer of De La Rue plc for five years and a Divisional chief operating officer with Invensys plc from 2001-2004.
In his earlier career he held a number of general management roles around the world with Honeywell International Inc.
Commenting on the appointment Betfair’s chairman, Gerald Corbett said: “We look forward to welcoming Leo to our Board, he has an excellent track record, considerable international experience in large public companies and will be a great addition.”
Quinn said of his appointment: “Betfair has an enterprising and unique business model and I am delighted to join the board at such an important time in its development.”
