(UK).- ICE organiser Clarion has circulated an email assuring companies attending the February show that the proposed industrial action on the London Underground would have a limited impact on the exhibition. Clarion Portfolio Director Kate Chambers said: “I have spoken with the transport authorities who confirmed that the action will not close the underground network down, but instead result in reduced services.”

“We have set up a team to focus on the issues and are in constant contact with the owners of ExCeL who have experienced similar situations before. Together we are examining contingencies to reduce any potential disruption and I will keep you fully updated," she commented.

The strike is due to start on Tuesday, 4 February and continue for 48 hours. While the action would have some though limited effect across the London Underground, services on the Heathrow Express, Gatwick Express, overground lines and the DLR – which serves the ExCeL exhibition centre – would not be affected.
