A total of 20,000 euros was raised that will now be donated to the children’s charity SOS Children’s Villages. Paul Gauselmann is also bearer of the SOS badge of honour and has been continually supporting this charity for over 25 years.
The first bid started off at 2,000 euros for the auction of the 100,000th Merkur Dispenser 100. An impressive bidding contest unravelled in the exciting auction for this special edition with Paul Gauselmann’s signature on it: The golden dispenser went to Ralf Drzymala of D+S Automaten from Grimmen for a total of 9,500 euros. The model with the serial number 100,001 attracted a handsome sum as well. The initial bid of 1,500 euros increased to 4,500 euros during the bidding process. The ‘100,001’ dispenser went to Hanover – to the entrepreneur and first chairman of the amusement and gaming machine lobby in Lower Saxony, Uwe Lücker.
“I am pleased that we have been able to achieve such a high sum for a good purpose”, said Paul Gauselmann, thanking all bidders and personally rounded the donated sum up to 20,000 euros. “The fact that we have been able to beat the 100,000 mark within just five years with the Merkur Dispenser 100 is great proof of our innovative intuition. This globally unique product has established itself like no other and has reflected optimal quality right from the beginning”, continued the entrepreneur.
Ever since its introduction in 2008 the Merkur Dispenser 100, that is produced at the Lübbecke factory, has counted to the absolute top innovations of the Gauselmann Group. The banknote validator can accept, check and store up to six different banknote denominations and pay back again three separate denominations from its special storage devices. The golden special edition has been a way for the eastern Westphalian group of companies to express its thanks for the trust and loyalty of its customers.
