Soccer will no doubt be the key issue of the seminar, considering the danger that match fixing represents. The efforts made to combat this practice in different sports and environments, will be highlighted in the debate, and new points of view and methods will be shared and debated by experts.
"All the regions will be represented and will offer updated information on the current novelties on their respective markets regarding the best practices, both for online and retail sale. Sports marketing and sportsbooks will be high on the agenda of the seminar, and we have invited FIFA to share its knowledge with us concerning the complexity of organising the World Cup,” explained organizers.
"Well-known speakers in and outside the lottery industry will share their ideas on relevant issues related to sportsbooks; we will look closely at best practice in live betting worldwide; our providers will have the challenge to present state-of-the-art products”, they added.
Among the issues to be addressed are: live betting; integrity of sports competitions; regional market updates; debates and participant challenges, such as to find solutions to issues such as “turnkey solutions” versus “do-it-yourself”, the fight against international fraud, progress of EMLS (Monitoring System of European Lotteries) towards a global monitoring system; FIFA, “Organizing the World Cup”; and market opportunities.
Under the name "Samba do Brazil", the seminar, to take place at Hotel Bluetree in Fortaleza, is targeted at Sportsbooks Directors, Lottery executives and collaborators responsible for sportsbooks, marketing and product development, betting receivers and members associated with such entities.
