The North Carolina Education Lottery is the eighth U.S. lottery to launch the Sciplay service for player ecommerce and/or player rewards from Scientific Games. With the launch of the subscription service coupled with the company’s Properties Plus integrated suite of web-based player loyalty rewards services, Scientific Games now provides the Lottery with player account management, age verification and player geo-location, and web-based payment services. The subscription service includes first-tier player support via phone, live chat and email.
“The availability of these three popular jackpot games on our Lucke-Zone website offers our players a new way to play, and offers non-lottery players the opportunity to try our games for the first time,” said Alice Garland, Executive Director for the North Carolina Education Lottery. Garland said the new service can help the Lottery increase sales for the three games and ultimately raise more money for education in the State.
Registration for the new subscription service is available via a secure section of the website. The Lottery’s responsible play features, such as limits on the number of multi-draw tickets that can be purchased, are incorporated into the subscription service. Players also have the ability to place their own personal limits on their play.
“We are excited about the engaging, exciting and convenient opportunities we now offer North Carolina players through the combination of our subscription service and our players club rewards program – by far the broadest deployment of Sciplay todate,” said Michael Lightman, Vice President, Lottery Interactive for Scientific Games. “In the case of the North Carolina Education Lottery, we have already seen enthusiasm from current rewards players who upgraded to subscriptions immediately following the launch and we are optimistic this trend will continue, reinforcing the importance of a closely coordinated effort.”
Once the player registers and sets up a subscription account, purchases can be made through an electronic funds transfer. Players will receive email alerts if their numbers are drawn. A subscription to a minimum of two weeks of drawings (and up to a maximum of 52 weeks of drawings) for one of the three games is required.
