What positive aspects would you single out for the 2013 editions of SAGSE Panama and Buenos Aires?
Principally, we can say that it was clearly demonstrated that SAGSE is an international gaming event in the truest sense of the phrase SAGSE is the largest and most international expo in Latin America, with venues that year on year continue to impove and advance.
With its exhibitions, SAGSE managed to consolidate its leading position in the region as the event par excellence, under the new banner “The most important gaming community.”
The “global factor” is crucial, because every day more and more multinational companies choose to agree and unify their launches on a regional level, and SAGSE supports that trend with its two international shows.
The traditional and successful 21st edition of SAGSE Latinoamérica @ SAGSE Buenos Aires is still the biggest and most international show of its kind for all Latin America. With an exhibition space of more than 20,000 sqm, 160 exhibiting companies and a total of 6,162 international visitors, SAGSE reaffirmed its position as The event in the region.
Regarding SAGSE Centroamérica & Caribe @ Panamá, this has changed the paradigm within the gaming sector and has created new experiences that blend work and pleasure. The show successfully preserved its prestigious status in the region under the flag of “an all inclusive expo”. This year it was sponsored by Aristocrat and, in 2014, it will be backed by Novomatic” being the most representative show at a regional level and attracting, for the 10th year running, more than 1,650 international businesspeople from the most important companies of the sector.
How does the current political and economic situation of each country impact on the gambling industry?
SAGSE has become a “must attend” event for the industry and the key reference point for gaming business. This year we have exceeded expectations and complied with the goals set - despite the current situation in Argentina. As this event covers the whole region, the “Argentinean factor” affected us, but the remainder of the countries and markets managed to offset it. SAGSE comprises the political-economic situation of a whole region which, on average, is positive. It is a global industry and the situation of one country affects the region, but, in general, it is compensated in a positive way by progress elsewhere.
From your vantage point as the event organizer, how do you see the Latin American and Caribbean markets playing out in 2014?
With worldwide exhibitors and with the attendance of operators from all Latin America, it SAGSE has demonstrated its market evolution, its international character, its commercial ethics and professionalism.
The Latin American market is growing and expanding with new projects and constant renovation. Latin America is constantly requiring more.
This year, Monografie underlined its close relationship with the main regional operators. What was the feedback and how do you expect to continue working with them?
This year SAGSE (Latinoamérica & Centroamérica y Caribe) was visited by noteworthy businessmen from all over the world. More than quantity, the quality of the visitors should be stressed. SAGSE has been working closely with the most important regional operators. The market is now aware that SAGSE has the latest novelties, which benefit operators directly. The operators understand that SAGSE is a strategic ally when renovating and optimizing the gaming operations. We will continue working side by side and closer every time.
What novelties are you preparing for the upcoming editions?
SAGSE is the meeting point, generating business across Latin America and guaranteeing all the novelties for the games of chance industry, as well as entertainment, services, technology, inputs and state-of-the-art products presented at the show.
Furthermore, future editions of Global Gaming Women (GGW) will be held, which is an exclusive event for businesswomen of the sector, as well as the Yogonet conferences.
All the achievements in 2013 are just an example of the success that visitors and exhibitors will experience at SAGSE Centroamérica y Caribe @ Panamá next May 7-8, at Hotel el Panamá Convention Center and at SAGSE Latinoamérica @ Buenos Aires on November 11-13 at Costa Salguero Center.
SAGSE Latinoamérica is the largest, most important and international Latin American gaming show, and this year that has once again been demonstrated.
