(Macau).- Macau Gaming Industry Workers Association, one of the main unions representing gaming employees, supports smoking rooms to replace smoking zones in gaming establishments.

Leong Sun Iok, Macau Gaming Industry Workers Association vice-president, said the call is a practical proposal which should be accepted until smoking is banned in casinos completely.

The six casino operators have petitioned the government to permit smoking rooms without gaming tables or slot machines inside.
