(Argentina).- This year’s SAGSE Latin America @Buenos Aires saw 160 companies showcasing their products over 20.000 square meters of exhibition space, and attracted 6500 businesspeople from across the world. Event organizers said “SAGSE regained its status as the region’s exhibition par excellence” for gaming in Latin America.

Under the banner of  the region’s “most important gaming community", the traditional and successful 21st edition of SAGSE Latin America@SAGSE Buenos Aires, the largest international gaming exhibition in Latin America, drew distinguished visitors and reaffirmed itself as the region’s numbr one showcasing event

“This year, we have exceeded our expectations and achieved our targets, in spite of the current circumstances in Argentina. Undoubtedly those circumstances impacted on the show but the rest of the region and its representation compensated for it and made it a success,” organizers said.

“With exhibitors from many different parts of the world, and the presence of operators from across Latin America that came with great expectations to see the stands, SAGSE Latin America@Buenos Aires demonstrated its international reach, commercial ethics and professionalism,” they added.

This year 6500 businesspeople from around the world visited SAGSE. More than their quantity, visitors´ quality has to be distinguished: they were more qualified than in previous years.

“We had a smaller number of companies exhibiting this time, but their stands were bigger than previously, which goes to show that only the more robust companies are weathering Argentina´s present situation. Some of them already booked their place at SAGSE 2014,” organizers said.

The vast majority of this year’s visitors had expertise and/or were from a high level within the industry, which in turn allowed exhibitors to try out some more determined  and targeted business approaches. The event gathered operators from Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, USA, Peru, Colombia, Paraguay and Mexico, while individual visitors hailed from England, Italy, Spain, Panama, Bolivia, Guatemala, Ukraine, Taiwan, South Africa, Romania, Philippines, Nicaragua, Israel, Canada, Bulgaria, Barbados, Germany, Trinidad and Tobago, Puerto Rico, Japan, Greece, Slovenia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Belgium and Venezuela.

SAGSE organizers show great ambition despite the show’s established spot on the gaming calendar. “A 21 year trajectory is only a start - we still have further to go, a long path to tread. We are doing the right thing, with meticulousness and commercial ethics, ever respectful of the industry and planning long term. We have to beat the obstacles to get a stronger product”.

Other key highlights that bear mentioning include Global Gaming Women, the exclusive industry event for women. GGW’s second edition was held as part of SAGSE and drew a large audience comprising 60 high level women managers. Yogonet´s own conferences and the presence of the gaming business were another feature of this year’s exhibition.

“The 2013 exhibition is a mere taster of what visitors and exhibitors can expect from next year’s SAGSE Central America and Caribbean @Panama – on May 7-8 at the Hotel Panama Convention Center – and indeed from 2014’s SAGSE Latin America @Buenos Aires – on Novemeber 11-13 at the Costa Salguero Center” – organizers assured.

“SAGSE Latin America is the largest, most important international exhibition of Latin America, and this year that has again been shown” they added.
