He replaces Ulrich Wüseke who leaves the company at his own request on 31st December 2013 after nearly 16 years in order to spend more time on consultancy activities.
Alexander Vleeming joined the Gauselmann Group in 2008 after working for the Dutch-German Chamber of Commerce in The Hague and an internationally
renowned auditing firm in Hamburg. Heading the Corporate Controlling for
the last five years he became familiar with all the major company processes, thus laying the basis for his future scope of duties.
"In mid-2012 Wüseke already informed us about his decision to dedicate himself to new responsibilities in non-executive boards and to provide support to succession planning processes", explains Paul Gauselmann, who also expressed his sincere thanks to the 58-year-old for his great services to the company, with its 8,000 employees and a business volume of EUR 1.8 billion. Mr Wüseke will also continue to be available to the Gauselmann Group on an advisory basis.
"By appointing Mr Vleeming as CFO we ensure continuity in the financial responsibilities of the Gauselmann Group and create space for new ideas at the same time. We wish Mr Vleeming every success for his new tasks, along with the pinch of good luck on his side", concludes Armin Gauselmann.
