IGT’s head of i-gaming steps down

(US).- Robert Melendres, vice president in charge of “emerging” business at IGT – including online, mobile, and social gaming - has stepped down and will leave the company on January 1, 2014.

(US).- Robert Melendres, vice president in charge of “emerging” business at IGT – including online, mobile, and social gaming - has stepped down and will leave the company on January 1, 2014.

Chief financial officer John Vandemore has been named executive vice president for emerging business. Melendres, no longer an executive officer, will report to Vandemore.

Melendres has served as executive vice president of IGT’s Interactive Group since January 2012. His responsibilities include accelerating the adoption of IGT interactive gaming across online, mobile and social platforms.  He previously served as IGT’s chief legal officer and corporate secretary from 2009.
