Mobile revenue drives Unibet growth

(UK).- Online gaming operator Unibet has posted a 28% year-on-year increase in gross winnings revenue for the third quarter of 2013, a rise that it has put down to the growth of its mobile business. Total gross winnings revenue for the latest quarter amounted to 65.6 million euros, up from 51.9 million euros achieved in the same period last year.

Mobile revenue accounted for 23% of the total revenue figure, a significant increase on the 8% it contributed during the third quarter of 2012. In addition, profit from operations increased from 5.3 million euros in Q3 of 2012 to 10.9 million euros in the latest quarter.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation also grew to £9.2 million, a significant rise on the us$ 4.7 million recorded in the corresponding quarter last year.

The latest figures place total gross winnings revenue for the first nine months of 2013 at 201 million euros, up from 166 million euros in the same period last year.

Profit is also up from 26.8 million euros to 34.3 million, while EBITDA for the first nine months of this year has also grown to 33 million from the 26.2 million achieved in the same period in 2012.
