(Macau).- Table-only gross gaming revenue reached USD 3.11 billion by Sunday, and could reach USD 4.38 billion – 29 percent more than a year ago and a new record – by the end of the month, Sterne Agee says.

The United States brokerage says the new record would be 14 percent higher than the present monthly record, set in March. The average take has been USD 109.4 million a day so far this month.

Analyst David Bain said revenue growth was likely to continue as the mass market grew, new developments opened between 2015 and 2018, and as casino companies fine-tuned gaming floors to maximise yields.

At least three casino operators want to build hotels or other amenities on Hengqin Island, the brokerage says.
