What’s your view of this year’s G2E?
G2E was another success both for Crane Payment Solutions and for the gaming industry in general. From our side it was a great opportunity to meet with our existing customers but also a chance to meet with potential customers for new business growth.
How did the public respond to the full range of products and technologies on display from the CashCode, Money Controls and NRI brands?
Response to our stand from customers and non-customers alike was extremely positive. Amongst the range we exhibited was the CashCode and the Money Controls Ardac Elite bill validator. In response to customer demand we have recently increased the size of our cashbox to 3,000 notes, improving machine uptime and reducing the number of collection pickups. The larger cashbox is designed for high volume self-service payment applications, bill-breaking & ticket redemption kiosks and change machines and was well received at the show. We also invited customers to see a live demo of our one check asset management tool in action and to see the benefits of using the Ardac Elite – such as how USB connectivity allows rapid downloading of new software and prominent gaming protocols, while use of a handheld EPS tool simplifies the floor technician’s day to day activities.
What is your opinion of the show in general?
The show lived up to its billing as one of the highlights of the gaming calendar and this was reflected in the attendance numbers which included a large number of operators from Latin America.
Given your talks at the show with colleagues and operators, what do you feel the future holds for the industry next year?
The general feel at the exhibition was an air of optimism for the immediate future and at Crane Payment Solutions we’re looking forward to working with customers to help them make their businesses more profitable and achieve their business goals.
What challenges do you foresee for the rest of the current year? What are your plans for the coming months?
For us the challenge is simple – to continue to develop high quality products with real benefits to operators and end users. Over the coming months, we plan to build on the opportunities that G2E provided and the feedback we received from customers in order to deliver products and technologies that meet industry needs.
