A press release was not issued. In his role, Kelley also served as president of several Station Casinos subsidiaries.
Station Casinos said Kelley, whose sister is married to Station Casinos Chairman and CEO Frank Fertitta III, resigned to pursue other professional interests. “The company expresses its gratitude to Kelley for his valuable service to the company,” Station Casinos said in the one paragraph filing.
Following Station Casinos bankruptcy reorganization in 2011, the company’s corporate governance changed. Longtime Wall Street analyst Marc Falcone became chief financial officer after the reorganization was finalized.
Late last year, longtime Station Casinos executive Stephen Cavallaro rejoined the company as president and chief operating officer.
Kelley spent 10 years in executive-level positions with Station Casinos before leaving in 2003 to serve as president and COO of the Hard Rock Las Vegas. Three years later, he served as the senior vice president of Macau operations for Las Vegas Sands.
He rejoined Station Casinos in 2008 as COO. “I was really pretty surprised when I got a call from Frank and Lorenzo (Fertitta),” he said in a 2008 interview. “They asked me if I was interested in coming back to the company.”
