(Spain).- The 12th European iGaming Congress and Expo opened this morning, as Fira Barcelona once again welcomed the international i-gaming community to the Catalan capital. Initial impressions are of a busier first morning than last year, with visitors crowded in the exhibition centre’s south entrance lobby awaiting the 11am kick-off.

The change of hall (to Hall 1) for 2013, has given the show floor a little more breathing space with a broad central avenue as the floor’s main thoroughfare.

Elsewhere, a buzz was already building at the Microgaming Bar and at the eye-catching stands of Bally, Williams Interactive and Sheriff Gaming.

The six-time Grand Slam-winning tennis legend Boris Becker today officially opened this year's European iGaming (EiG) Congress & Expo, taking place in Barcelona, Spain.

Becker, who is now an accomplished broadcaster and businessman cut the ribbon on the 12th annual edition of the expo, which features 100 thought leaders and 80 exhibiting companies alongside a compelling and content rich program of events including 11 specialist Workshops and Networking Groups, EiG Tutorials, Breakfast With... sessions, the CEO Debate, as well as the EiG Power Talks which feature some of the outstanding business leaders in iGaming.

Speaking at the EiG opening, Boris Becker said: "I am very happy to be here, and would like to welcome everyone to this marvelous event, which has bought the European iGaming industry together in this truly magnificent city. On behalf of the event's organisers and Youwin, I am both delighted and honoured to open EiG.'
