How did JCM get on at G2E?
G2E 2013 was fantastic for us. We were constantly busy with guests from all over the world. We had attendees in our booth from across North America, South America and Europe, and their interests were as varied as our product line. This year we featured our newest evolved technologies in bill validators, printers and digital displays, and the response was universally and overwhelmingly positive.
What are the main features of the products you presented?
The new JCM evolution started with our award-winning iVIZION bill validator. Operators around the world tell us they recognize iVIZION as one of the best bill validators in the industry’s history, and this year we were thrilled to show how iVIZION is further evolving with a set of bundled enhancement tools that empower casino operators to do much more than they ever thought possible with peripheral components, and in real time.
iVIZION’s bundled enhancement tools, called Dynamic Network Applications (DNA), was recently named a Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Product and empowers operators with real-time reports and alerts, and can enable regulators to instantly verify peripheral devices, software versions, view reports and more.
We were also very excited to show our iV8 table game bill validator. We developed iV8 specifically for the high-volume table game marketplace, and unlike manual counting at the table, iV8 counts and validates currency at 8 notes per second, and can instantly and dramatically increase the number of games played per hour. Watch JCM for further exciting developments in the table game space in the near future.
One of our brightest attractions, literally, was our incredible range of digital displays. We had a tremendous product line in the booth, including ePosters; large format displays on the wall and even in the floor; and a new tile display format from our partner NanoLumens that allows operators to configure custom display designs.
Looking to the future, we showed our Mobile Wage Wallet (MW2), which continues to evolve with new and even more powerful capabilities that allow customers to use their mobile phones as e-wallets, carrying cash, player club cards and promotional offerings electronically in a secure, password-protected environment.
What did you feel about the show in general?
G2E is always a great show. We were very pleased this year to have strong attendance from decision-makers, and our international representatives were busy meeting with existing and new customers from around the world.
Given your talks at the show with colleagues and operators, what do you feel the future holds for the industry next year?
From our discussions in the booth and from walking the show floor, 2014 is shaping up to be a very exciting year in the industry, both in-casino and online, and we are very proud of our evolving technologies that will help our supplier and operator partners continue to succeed.
What targets do you have for the rest of the year? What are your plans for the coming months?
One of the clear advantages of G2E being staged earlier in the year than it has been in the past is we have a complete quarter remaining in the year to sell and to help our supplier and operator partners. The focus for JCM, across all of our global offices, will be to ensure that each of our clients knows about our latest evolutions and to inspire the industry with our technology.
What can you tell us about the recent deal struck with Interblock and IGT? What will this mean for JCM?
We were thrilled to announce exclusive supplier agreements with IGT and with Interblock. These latest agreements continue to reinforce the message that JCM is the clear leader in innovative transaction technologies for the industry. In both cases, JCM will be the preferred supplier for each of these companies’ extensive product lines the world over, and we are very excited and humbled to have achieved this level of trust with these leading companies.
