WMS acquisition approved by Nevada Regulator

(US).- The acquisition of land and online gambling supply company WMS Industries by Scientific Games edged towards completion on Thursday following news that the Nevada Gaming Commission has given its approval for the move. Scientific Games says it expects to complete the transaction in the fall of 2013.
“We are pleased to have received unanimous approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission and thank the Commission and the Nevada Gaming Control Board for their diligence in reviewing and approving our transaction,” said A. Lorne Weil, chairman and CEO of Scientific Games.
