(Philippines).- Bloomberry Resorts has torn up Global Gaming Asset Management Group’s contract to manage the Solaire Resort and Casino in Manila. Bloomberry told the Philippine Stock Exchange that Global Gaming had “not spent any material time in attending to the management of Solaire and failed to perform its obligations”.

Bloomberry is the majority owner of the us$ 1.2 billion resort, which opened in March.

Global Gaming’s CEO is Bill Weidner, a former president of Las Vegas Sands who guided the construction of the Sands Macao and The Venetian Macao casino-resorts.

Global Gaming’s most senior employee at the Solaire Resort and Casino, Michael French, was the general manager of Melco Crown Entertainment’s Altira Macau. Global Gaming is contesting Bloomberry’s move at arbitration in Singapore.
