(UK).- Inspired Gaming Group announced the launch of the industry’s first Virtual Cricket game. The new sport joins a wide portfolio of seven sports already available from Inspired, including horse racing, football, tennis, motor racing, cycling and greyhound racing.

Inspired’s BAFTA award-winning graphics and software team has used the latest motion capture and animation techniques from the TV and Film industry to achieve the most graphically advanced Virtual Sports content in the world. Keeping up-to-date with the latest sports betting trends, Inspired has developed Virtual Cricket to include an in-run betting option alongside a single match game which allows customers to place bets during play as the game develops and odds change.

Each Virtual Cricket event shows two cricket teams playing a Super Over that consists of one over (six balls) for each team during a four minute event cycle. Players can bet at the start and during the match on up to 9 different betting markets, making Virtual Cricket the most advanced virtual sports betting game to-date. This compact version of a cricket match allows operators to schedule up to 15 Virtual Cricket events per hour, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. As with all of Inspired's Virtual Sports, the stadia can be customised with operator branding and the product is available in over 16 languages.

Steve Rogers, Managing Director of Inspired's Virtual Sports division, commented: “The continual development of our Virtual Sports content demonstrates our desire to be constantly innovating and to address demand from our customers who offer their online and in-shop sportsbook internationally. The decision to develop Virtual Cricket is due to the popularity of cricket as a live sports betting product especially in the UK, Australia, the Indian subcontinent, South Africa, West Indies and New Zealand, where we expect it to become very popular across all channels. Virtual sports are a very lucrative part of the product offer for operators and we’re pleased to launch Virtual Cricket which will generate incremental revenues and more player engagement.”

Inspired’s Virtual Sports products have already generated in excess of us$ 7 billion of revenue and us$ 950 million gross win every year for customers in 33 different countries worldwide. The company customers’ base includes William Hill, Paddy Power, Betfred, Coral, Ladbrokes, Caliente, bet365, Lottomatica, Sisal, Snai, Cogetech and recently ONEworks in Asia.
