(Israel).- Scientific Games announced that the company has signed a two-year contract extension to serve as the primary vendor to supply a central management system, maintenance services and support to the Israeli Sports Betting Board (ISBB). The two-year extension lengthens the current contract term to February 2016.

“Scientific Games is pleased to continue to provide a highly secure central system and software for sports betting in Israel,” said Bill Huntley, CEO, Systems for Scientific Games. “Through our successful partnership, the ISBB has grown its sales by approximately 47% from 2006 to 2012. These funds have supported and will continue to support sports associations and teams, as well as sports facilities and equipment in Israel.”

The central system offers simultaneous offline betting to 1,600 points-of-sale throughout Israel. In addition to providing 24-hour support, seven days a week for the ISBB, Scientific Games has delivered software add-ons. The company has also provided 1,800 high-performance WAVE terminals featuring a small footprint, high-speed scanner and printer for ISBB points-of-sale.

The ISBB is a founding member of the European Football Pool and is the state-owned licensed entity that offers sports betting games in Israel, with the most popular games being the weekly Toto 16 and the daily Winner. Other games include Toto Plus, Toto-X 7/33 and Toto World. ISBB reported total revenue of approximately us$ 500 million in 2012.
