Caldwell will also oversee and ensure successful execution of GTECH’s various private operator contracts, including those in Colombia, Costa Rica, and the Antilles Lotteries (lotteries located in Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Maarten, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Dominican Republic).
In addition, Chris will lead operations that offer a diverse portfolio of products and services such as bill payments, cellular phone top-ups, money transfers, and government payments in the region.
“Chris will play an important role in leading GTECH’s business strategies in the Latin America and Caribbean region,” said Mr. Patel. “His expertise in business development, finance, and knowledge of foreign affairs give him the breadth of experience needed to take on the additional challenges and responsibilities of this new position.”
Chris joined GTECH in 1995 and has held various roles including leadership positions with the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis group, Director of Finance for GTECH’s Mexico operations in Mexico City, and Regional Finance Director for the Western Region of the United States. In his most recent role as Vice President of Business Development, he was responsible for leading the pursuit, implementation, and operation of new gaming business opportunities in key strategic markets throughout the world. As Regional Vice President for Africa and Eurasia, Chris secured new contracts in Belarus, Nigeria, Ghana, Mauritius, and Madagascar. He also served as head of Business Evaluation and Competitive Intelligence for GTECH.
Prior to joining GTECH, Chris was Finance Manager with the International Product Development Group at Lotus Development Corporation, where he also lived overseas in Japan, and as a Finance Analyst with Computer Vision.
