Successful edition of GTI Asia Taipei Expo

(Taiwan).- GTI Asia Taipei Expo, one of the main arcade game trade events in Asia Pacific organized by Haw Ji (Game Time International), was held last May 9-11 at Taipei World Trade Center in Taiwan. In this edition, the show recruited about 70 exhibitors which presented a variety of games, machines and parts and accessories.

The show recruited about 70 exhibitors including Namco Bandai Games from Japan, MEI from Australia, Suzo-Happ and JCM from the US and a good amount of talented and renowned Taiwan-based companies. A variety of games, machines and parts & accessories were presented at the show, “fully satisfied many visiting buyers’ need as a one stop shopping destination,” added the organizers.

GTI Asia Taipei Expo is a trade event known for its strength in attracting overseas visitors to purchase quality Made in Taiwan products. As always, this year’s show was attended by many trade visitors from many countries, especially from China and Southeast Asia.  

According to the record, there were visitors from 43 countries including Nepal, India, Israel, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, U.A.E., Vietnam, China, Macau, Albania, Monaco, Kazakhstan, Ireland, Italy, Russia, France, Czech Republic, Spain, Germany, the U.K., Switzerland, the U.S., Canada, Belize, Aruba, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. Although the total amount of the attendance dropped in this edition, it is worth mentioning that the name of GTI Expo had reached to Africa and the Pacific region.  

GTI Asia Taipei Expo also had some first time visitors from overseas countries this year.  The show which has 20 years of history is seen as one of the most important and influential trade event in the world, added the organizers.

The show’s opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Director General Cynthia Kiang of Bureau of Foreign Trade, Department of Commerce Director You Rui-De, Executive Vice President Walters M.S. Yeh of Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) , 1st Vice President Igor Rodionov of Russian Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (RAAPA), President Yeh Zhen-Kun of Entertainment Center Development Association, Chairman Ou Che-Wen of Taiwan Amusement Machine Association (TAMA) and Chairman Lu Kun-Mou of Taiwan Digital Entertainment Association. The presence of Igor Rodionov from RAAPA absolutely invigorated the 20th anniversary of the show. GTI also held a conference “Taiwan-Russia Business Networking Event” for those interested in knowing and entering the Russian market on the first day.

The next edition of GTI Asia Taipei Expo will be held on May 8-10, 2014 at Taipei World Trade Center.
