Gaming and betting consolidated at the Spanish TV

From mid 2012, Televisión Española launches the draws from State Lotteries and Bets (LAE), after renewing the contract with the State Society of Lotteries and Bets (SELAE), issued by La 1 and Canal Internacional (International Channel). Besides, the program Sorteos de Loterías (Lottery Draws) includes Bonoloto, la Primitiva, Lotería Nacional and Euromillones, issued from Monday to Friday in prime-time.

In La 2, TVE, continues with the program “La Suerte en tus manos” (The luck in your hands), an information space about all SELAE draws including the one of Euromillones, as well as “Sorteos Viajeros”.

Antena 3 has also had an interesting decisión to advance in the broadcast of betting games. In fact, it has been the first channel that released a roulette program on TV, “Ganing Casino”, which is  broadcast from mid 2012, currently every day on Antena 3 and Nitro. It is a joint venture with Gamesys, which is in fact the true gaming operator, with Antena 3 as affiliated media to boost the game.

Antena 3 also continues with the broadcasting of national poker tournaments, which is added to the thrilling broadcast of European Poker Tour, once a week.

The other great move of this multimedia company has been the release of “Canal Bingo” (Bingo Channel), the first bingo program on the Spanish television, broadcast every night at Neox, and on Thursdays by Antena 3. Again, it is a joint venture with Gamesys, leading company in the development and operation of web pages and bingo and entertainment games. It also operates under the site CanalBingo.es.

Also Mediaset has bet on gambling. Every dawn, they broadcast “Premier Casino”, where  viewers can be active casino players sitting at their sofa, at home, and at the same time, watch the results on the TV screen.

Another novelty on the scenario of TV betting will be the weekly program that will be released for two seasons by audiovisual group Vértice 360º together with Telefónica Soluciones. They will target the production and transmission of the horse races program that the State SOciety of Lotteries and Bets (Selae) produces for RTVE. The program, which will count with a new graphic line and production with 11 cameras in HD, which will be recorded in the most important horse racetracks in Spain, among them, the following: La Zarzuela (Madrid), San Sebastián, Dos Hermanas (Sevilla). Besides, it will be transmitted simultaneously by Internet streaming.

It is supposed that, in the following months, more novelties of TV programs dedicated to betting will continue appearing. It is not just a TV phenomenon. It is also the certification of tracking in web pages, as playing online at ruleta.es, and a lot of people like gambling and betting.  It supports a social phenomenon that has given plenty of demonstrations of the preference of the game.
