Montreal-based Amaya Gaming purchased Ongame Network from bwin.party Digital Entertainment in October for 15 million euros and agreed a similar poker deal for its subordinate last week with Aristocrat Technologies.
The Canadian firm revealed that Cogetech, which has been a subsidiary of online sportsbetting provider Sindacato Nazionale Agenzie Ippiche (SNAI) since January, is using the platform from Ongame Network to power a new poker offering at the IziPoker.it domain.
“The signing of Cogetech is an important achievement for us in a key market,” said David Baazov, CEO for Amaya Gaming. “It is a leading and respected brand in the Italian gaming market covering both business-to-business and business-to-consumer verticals. Amaya Gaming will be able to support it across the board and we look forward to working together.”
Amaya Gaming stated that the deal was agreed in partnership with Italian distributor Active Games while the new poker offering from IziPoker.it went live on Saturday alongside the site’s existing sportsbetting, skill, bingo and casino offerings.
“Amaya Gaming is a perfect partner for us in the Italian market with outstanding products for both poker and casino,' said Fabio Schiavolin, CEO for Cogetech. “Ongame Network poker is built on a modern platform that enables both stability and new innovative features and Ongame Network is the only provider with full mobile support including both Android and iOS compatibility.”
