Bally’s Elite Bonusing Suite Virtual Racing promotional tool has already been a huge hit, creating floor-wide excitement on casino floors across America, driving coin-in, carded play, and new players’ club signups. Now Virtual Racing will feature a NASCAR-themed car-racing event that lets players actually choose their favorite driver and cheer him across the finish line.
Players will select one of eight famous Nascar drivers--Clint Bowyer, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Mark Martin, or Martin Truex Jr.-- from the touch-screen on the iVIEW or iVIEW Display Manager (DM) player-user-interface on each of Mohegan Sun’s slot or video-poker machines.
“Virtual Racing Nascar will be a huge hit with Nascar fans,” said Nascar Vice President of Licensing and Consumer Products Blake Davidson. “Nascar is one of the most popular and entertaining sports, and that atmosphere of competition fits in perfectly with the excitement on a casino floor.”
The race will occur throughout Mohegan Sun’s three casinos: Casino of the Earth, Casino of the Sky and Casino of the Wind.
“Our loyal casino guests are truly going to have an amazing time racing with their favorite drivers,” said Mohegan Sun President and CEO Bobby Soper. “Bally has been a tremendous partner and this is another example of the power of floor-wide events. It will bring a new level of excitement to the casino floor as players compete for additional wins.”
Last month, Bally Technologies and Mohegan Sun set a pair of Guinness World Records when they partnered to earn “World’s Largest Slot Tournament” and “Most Slot Machines Running the Same Game Simultaneously.”
“We’re extremely grateful for all of the hard work Mohegan Sun has done to put on this world-record-setting event,” said Bally Technologies’ Vice President of Systems Sales Tom Reilly. “This fast-paced, exciting event, across three casinos at Mohegan Sun, showcases the power of Virtual Racing Nascar floor-wide promotions. Players love the thrill of a new event on the casino floor, and operators see a great increase in business. It’s a win for everyone.”
